L.T.M - My Key ring!
Today I achieved Weight Watchers Lifetime membership - WHOO HOOOOOOOO!
Without the support of my many on line WW buddies I would not have got there so thank you all for keeping me on track (especially Berrie cause I had dramas from day 1) and for celebrating with me. For all those who wanted to know what the keyring looks like here it is!

Day 6 & cracked my personal goal!
Well here I am day 6 of no smokes - apart from the usual side effects, am doing okay. Yesterday was my weigh in day at WW and I cracked my personal goal - to get to my 10% weight loss. This is my last week on maintainence so I am well on track to LTM and it gives me a little to play with. My back is better this week and I went for a walk (5k's) on Monday and am off for a walk tomorrow as well, so the exercise thing is starting to happen again. Trying to be good drinking lots of water but am still failing in this area. The thing is I know it helps with weight loss (I have proven this) so it will help me maintain but it is so hard! Roll on the warmer months when I do drink lots of water. Have a great day everyone

Day One! Fish out of water......
Well here I am, day one of being a non smoker. I am using patches so feeling no actual cravings (which is good) I am just feeling like a fish out of water as I don't quite know what to do with myself (isn't that a song?). Anyway, it will get easier I am sure.
I had my monthly market today - it wasn't fabulous, lots of people with deep pockets and their hands stuck firmly in them! It was cold and rainy and I was very glad come 2pm to head home. But the girls around me at the markets are lovely and kept me sane!
I asked my husband last night if he had an incentive for me to give up smoking and he said when I am still smoke free in January 07 he will take me away for a holiday to anywhere I choose for a week. I'm loving this idea, already thinking North Queensland, maybe not in January but soon after. Anyone got any suggestions as I haven't been any further than Fraser island.

The third attempt.....
As I mentioned before it is my third attempt at WW. Tomorrow will be my third time around at attempting to give up smoking. I have always had the support of my husband but this time I have the support of some people from the WW community. Its not going to be easy, this I know, but I am not doing it alone. Kerri, Kerri's husband and Liz we are doing it together - may the force be with us and may we win this battle!

Week 4 to 5
Well here I am nearly through maintenance. Its not easy to find a happy medium with points and I think this is the frustrating part. I feel out of control because I am juggling points to see how many are right for me. Its not as black and white as losing weight was.
Yesterday was weigh in day, managed to lose the .3 I put on the week before. I would still like to get to 65.2 on the weight watchers scales although I am actually on 65k on my home scales (naked weight). I am on track however for L.T.M in a couple of weeks.
The things I have learned most on this ww journey have been how exercise and water DO make a difference. The water part is hard as I don't tend to drink much at all during winter (or colder) months, but I have been trying to up my intake with the help of my ww buddies on the message boards. I have also increased my exercise from ZERO to 2 walks per week, both about 5k's althought having said that a bad back has put me out for the last two weeks'.Oh well hopefully back on track soon and out in that fresh air!
I have a market this coming weekend (long weekend in NSW) so have been busy getting the boards ready for that.

Good Morning! Happy Monday
This is a view of Brisbane Water, Gosford that I took one day while out for a walk. It was a beautiful day as you can see. I go walking on Monday and Thursday mornings weather permitting with a few ladies from my WW meeting. Today however it is raining so no walkies for me! Exercise is one of those things I have had to make myself do and being basically lazy it has been hard

.....Back a few years
As I mentioned previously I have been to WW a few times. My first journey was short and fast and I gave up cause I wasn't happy with meetings. The second began on 24th January 2002. I weighed in at 78.2 kilos. I enjoyed the meetings this time around until we had a change of leader then I did express weigh ins and didn't stay for meetings! My last official weigh in was 19th November 2003 - my weight 70.6 kilos.
I think I might have continued going but my husband was retrenched in early 04 and we had to pull our belts in a bit. My next recorded weight (at home) was 73.6 January 06 when I began my latest journey.........never expecting to reach goal!
The photo to the right is me at my biggest (dont you just love the frock) it was taken in about 1993 with me in a borrowed size 16 + dress (nothing i owned would fit me)!
Good Morning
Good morning everyone. Today I decided to set up a blog page, it will be a combination of my Weight Watchers journey and the things I do.
In January I decided to go back to WW, its my third attempt! I didn't have too much to lose and I was hoping this time to get to goal. I hadn't enjoyed going to meetings previously so decided this time to try WW @ Home. To cut a long story short, I made goal in early May now I am battling maintenance......Another story! Along the way I have made a lot of lovely WW friends who have supported me on this journey and I really appreciate each and every one of them.
Now to what I do: I make bead jewellery. Mainly ear rings, and I love Swarovski crystal and Venetian Glass. I sell at a local market and via word of mouth. I am not the most talented person out there in bead world but I enjoy what I do and get so much pleasure in seeing the smiles on the faces of my customers when they buy something new. For now that is me in a nut shell. I hope you will join me every now and then to see what I have been up to! Happy day everyone.
